Maria Phipps has been involved with Trinity College Shool in Port Hope, Ontario since 1993. She has been a member of Board of Governors, member of the Headmaster Search Committee and member of the Search Committee for the Executive Director of Advancement. She is a member of the Infrastructre Committee, the IT Subcommittee, Marketing Advisory Committee and is the Chair for the 150th Anniversary History Project ( 1865-2015). She is also a director of the Trinity College School Foundation and head of the Governance Committee.

She is a past member of the Board of Governors of St. John's Kilmarnock School in Breslau, Ontario and a member of the Headmaster Search Committee.

Maria is a member of the Board of Governors with Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario since 2007. She is a member of the Advancement Committee, Nominating Committee, Executive Committee and sits on the Presidential Search Committee.

She also participates in other professional organizations such as SLA, CALL, TALL and the Knowledge Workers of Toronto.
